OKI, I just did a fresh re-installation -
everything from scratch, with deleting everything I could, first via remote and then formatting the apps area.
This time I
downloaded most plug-ins [Mbox, NewCS, MGcamd, MultiCAS and SCDXCas]
from the net, directly into AZbox HD. Home -> Plug-ins -> red button to add plug-in -> azboxworld.com.
Once you install OpenXCAS it's easy, as you get them all from azboxworld.com. Most stuff worked. Mbox config didn't! I had to edit various files manually: both openxcas.conf, module.seq and mbox cfg - just correcting the names and module info, like so...
[module]
name = MboxCAS
daemon = mbox_module
wait=13 sec
version = 0.6_10
MboxCAS
#mgcamd
#SCDXCas
#MultiCAS
#newcs
and
[modules]
count = 4
active_auto = true
active_1 = MboxCAS
active_2 = MultiCAS
active_3 = mgcamd
active_4 = newcs
[module_1]
ap= Yes
name = MboxCAS
daemon = mbox_module
wait=13 sec
version = 0.6_10
[module_2]
name = MultiCAS
daemon = emu_module
version = 1.60D-D07
[module_3]
name = mgcamd
daemon = mgcamd
version = 1.33
# argument = -a 3
[module_4]
name = newcs
daemon = newcs
argument = -nd
version = 1.6
xcasapi = FALSE
Then, even Mbox worked!
The good thing with MultiCAS - one can sort it out via remote, no need for a PC to set your CS up, as CCcam client! Not bad!
Mind, this time I did it using Telesat's MultiCASedit 1.3. First, I had to go to Control Panel and uninstall the older version, reboot my PC, install the new one and then it worked...
Click on the first line, then paste the C line at the bottom of the first tab [in between "C:" and "no", then repeat for each C line, by clicking on the next available free space under...] and Save - it created splitterdata.bin file.
Mbox is flying. Even N D S is working well now, from Dist. 2 or 3!!! Just
comparing MultiCAS with Mbox now... They are pretty close now, in terms of performance, even on N D S_UK... Slight and short freezes but that is to be expected with that CAS.
[Mind, first I had to re-create my DynDNS account, as it was killed. One needs to log into their website regularly, as they delete accounts where this doesn't happen - without warning!]
Speaking of which:
DynDNS in Network Service, under Settings is OK, thanx to Tsakman [dyndns] and Hans [no-ip]:
DNS System: dyndns @ dyndns.com or dyndns @ dyndns.org (without spaces)
Host Name: yourhost.dyndns.org
User Name: username to log into dyndns
Password: password to log into dyndns
This is complete inadyn.conf for No-IP Service
Put it with your Data to Disk2
--background
--update_period_sec 30
--username YOUR EMAIL
--password YOU PASSWORD
--dyndns_system defaultatno-ip.com
--alias YOUR DYDNS ALIAS
You need also the -- in front of the Lines
Yeah, it seems like a definite improvement.
Btw, if anyone now says they "wait for a channel to open something like 8 seconds..." - well, they should be shot [at]!!!! :thumbsup: Rotten eggs as weapons!!! :grin:And some equally rotten tomatoes!! Maybe a skunk ought to be deployed, too... :Psmiley:
=======================================
OK, what doesn't work at my end, from the stuff that I can test:
-
installing some plug-ins from the net directly into AZbox HD is always "failed to install the plug-in" but then it works. So, it kinda half works... :yarr: "Secondary" stuff like teevee4yu, livefeeds, mboxinfo and liveonsat, that I tried...
-
Internet is still slow [LAN]. I presume streaming high bitrate stuff from PC to AZ is therefore also limited...[??]
-
IP TV channels wouldn't even start a bit...
-
Photos: way too many messages of the "Error! Photo file is too big. Please make image thumbnail" type... Screw that!:dark mood: And sometimes even the small ones could be a problem, once it starts "making thumbnails"...
-Home ->
FTP - nada!
-Home ->
File Browser - also nada!
-
RSS and
Internet Browser are very slow indeed...
...and so on...
But better...
....
Still...
At this pace by New 2011 Year's Eve:slow: we'll get it all sorted out... :yuush:
